Among his presentation points, will be a review of the nature of the Landfill site and how the existing footprint has been completely exhausted, requiring a move to expand the site with no further delay.
A full report on the proposed expansion was outlined for the previous council back in August of 2014.
Tonight, Mr. Pucci will offer up his recommendation to Council to award the project to Coast Industrial Construction, the successful bidder presented a quote of 1,045,554,36 to the City, providing for the lowest of the three tenders received by the Engineering Department.
In the report to be presented to Council, Mr. Pucci will note that the Coast Industrial Construction bid falls under the 1.5 million dollar expenditure for the Landfill Expansion Project Phase 2, adding that the Engineering Department will work with the preferred proponent to look for further cost savings opportunities associated with the work and performance.
The full report to Council can be viewed on pages 10-12 of the Agenda for tonight's session.
