Rainfall Warning Issued for North Coast Inland areas
A wave of Pacific weather systems is about to roll across the North Coast and as a result Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for North Coast Inland areas, with a focus on the Kitimat region.
The notice issued in the late evening of Tuesday calls for up to 60 mm of rain by Wednesday afternoon, with more rainfall to continue through the remainder of the week.
So far, the coastal region of the North Coast including Prince Rupert and Port Edward has remained off the Weather Alert noticeboard, with significantly less precipitation expected compared to that of Kitimat anticipated over the next 24-48 hours.
You can track any changes in the Weather Warnings from the Environment Canada website.
As the weather comes ashore, driving conditions may change as well in the Interior region, you can find the latest Road Conditions from the Drive BC website or twitter feed.
