A number of changes for services offered by Northern Health in Prince Rupert will be in place for Tuesday, as some local offices close for the day today as part of a moving day between the downtown offices in the Ocean Centre and space at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
The major focus of the big shift, will be the services currently located on the 4th floor of the Hospital, with such local health initiatives as home care nursing, dietitian, mental health, occupational therapy, and the diabetes educator all making the move over to the Third Avenue West offices.
As a result of the moves, the offices for both the hospital and health unit will be closed from today through Monday, reopening on Tuesday.
Northern Health notes that the Maternity Clinic at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is not moving and will remain on the fourth floor at the Hospital.
Making the migration from downtown to the Hospital will be the following services, Speech and Language, Environmental Health, Aboriginal Health and Practice Support Coach.
The Northern Health Dental service will move up to the Hospital in late December.
