Tax Sale Day for Port Edward set for Monday, September 28th

The District of Port Edward will be hosting their Annual Tax Sale on properties with delinquent taxes next week, with Monday, September 8th the date for the event, with the District hosting it at 10 AM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal building.

Five properties are on the list as of today, three structures and two vacant lots, though the number could be reduced by Monday should the property owners settle their accounts with District prior to the sale.

For those looking to get a snapshot of the properties in question, the simplest way is to make use of the BC Assessment website and use the property plan and lot numbers to get more information on any that may be of interest to you.

As we noted last week, the City of Prince Rupert is also hosting their Tax Sale on the 28th, the city shifting this years event to the Civic Centre Auditorium at 10 AM, with a cap on participation put in place at 45 participants.

Updates from Port Edward on their Tax Sale can be followed through their Social Media stream.
