Nisga'a Valley Health updated the residents of the Nass Valley today on the latest results of COVID testing in the community, with two new cases confirmed bringing the total to 38 cases of the coronavirus that have originated or been through the region of the Nass.
In their advisory released earlier today, Nisga'a Valley Health outlined that they are working closely with their partners to ensure that all are working together to protect community members.
The associated health partners are all meeting regularly, while providing for collaborative updates to ensure that all are working through the current situation together.
Towards the current outbreak in the Nass Valley, officials are prioritizing their testing regimen to those community members that have been contacted by either Northern Health or Nisga'a Valley Public Health, as being identified as potential primary contacts or experiencing flu-like symptoms.
They advise that once they have more comprehensive information they may be required to expand on their testing strategy.
