The numbers of reported cases in BC took a slight dip on Thursday, though the list of those who have sadly passed away from COVID saw some more additions in the last twenty four hours.
The details delivered in a mid afternoon briefing as Doctor Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix returned to a livestream to relay the latest findings of reported cases and expand on the ongoing health narrative of reducing risk and protecting each other.
“Today, we are reporting 694 new cases of COVID-19, including four epi-linked cases, for a total of 35,422 cases in British Columbia.Dr. Henry and Minister Dix also made note of some outbreaks in health care facilities in the province including what is being called a precautionary outbreak at Prince George's University Hospital of Northern BC (more on that situation from Northern Health here)
The province's two to health officials also explored the theme of understanding the risks and maintaining our efforts to reduce risk and protect each other during this period of increased transmission.
“Our focus with COVID-19 is to understand the risks: where, how and with whom transmission is occurring, and based on this information, put measures in place to protect everyone in the province. You can review Thursday's update here.
