Monday night's get together to discuss health care in Prince Rupert will now be available for viewing for those who can't make it to the Lester Centre for the in person event.

Host Jennifer Rice, the MLA for the North Coast confirmed for the North Coast Review on Wednesday that the two hours of discussion from 7-9 PM will also be live streamed and broadcast through CityWest.

The two options include the CityWest community channel 10 and  through the MLA's Facebook Page.

As we outlined on Tuesday, the MLA will host the opportunity for residents to ask questions directly of health care officials in the community, that to help separate some of the rumours from facts when it comes to medical care in the city.

The night will feature a presentation from Northern Health officials in the first hour, as well as a Question and Answer period to follow.

There are many questions that could make for the narrative of that second part of the evening.

From the need for more local General Practitioners at Doctor's offices,  the progress towards filling specialists positions at the hospital, the impact on health care in Prince Rupert from Mills Memorial's new facility in Terrace and the concerns recently relayed over the local paramedic service in the region.

Those with questions for the session can submit them in advance to the MLA's office, submit yours to Ms. Rice at Jennifer.Rice.MLA@leg.bc.ca

The doors to the Lester Centre will Open at 6:30 PM, the Presentations start at 7.

Further details on the event can be found from the Facebook Events page.
