'Creative Tourism' Workshop set for Prince Rupert on August 24th

A one day workshop planned for September will offer an opportunity for those in the tourism, arts and culture sectors to come together to explore partnerships to advance new experiences in the community for residents and visitors alike.

Sponsored by Tourism Prince Rupert and the World Leisure Centre of Excellence at Vancouver Island University, the Wednesday, August 24th session will take place at the BC Room in the Crest Hotel.

The one day program which starts at 8:30 AM and runs until 4:30 PM will feature a range of skill building interactive and experiential 

The focus for the program is to advance the ability of participants to expand on the tourism experience in the region. 

Among the areas for development include: 

Support, develop and deliver creative tourism experiences 
Support partnership opportunities between diverse players in tourism, arts and culture 
Support innovative tourism development that is meaningful for residents and visitors.
