A welcome addition to the auto repair sector has opened up on Park Avenue in Prince Rupert |
As anyone with a vehicle knows, getting car repairs in Prince Rupert has become somewhat of a challenge over the last few years, with many local mechanics abandoning the commercial sector for the lure of the Port and its associated partners.
Adding to the reduction in options has been the closure for two of three of what was once a strong car dealership presence, with both Ford and GM closing their shops over the last half decade or so.
That has reduced the options and added to the scheduling for those that remained in operation, but for those waiting for a spot, some welcome news has arrived.
That with the opening of a new auto repair facility on Park Avenue, in the Frosty's building which for longer term Ruprtites once upon a time also hosted the Northern Tire location.
The opening for the new service was announced in mid August and almost immediately the reaction rolled in to their Facebook page to offer a large volume of welcomes to the community.
In their notes to their Facebook post, the Rupert operators note of what they hope to bring to the community, noting that they are operating under the name of Budget Performance Incorporated and have been in business in the Northeast part of the province since 2012.
Their website for locations in Tumbler Ridge and Fort St. John outlines the work they do there.
Prince Rupert's newest auto repair centre can be found at the Frosty's location on Park Avenue |
Plans for a local website are in the works, for now you can contact them at 778-884-6222 to ask about what services they offer and to book an appointment.
The address for their auto repair venue is 1124 Park Avenue, just down from Five Corners.
