Block Party times to return to Fraser Street Friday

After a few years on hiatus, a popular downtown event is back this year, with the Friendship House Association of Prince Rupert set to host their 9th Annual Community Block Party.

A large section of Fraser Street near the Friendship House will be blocked off on Friday from 3 to 7 for the festivities which are centred around the Friendship Centre and include live bands and events for youngsters along with a wide array of food options to take in during the four hour event.

The theme for the 2022 edition is Moustaches and Tiaras and among the prizes to be awarded during the Party will be a number of ride bracelets for the Shooting Stars Amusements Carnival taking place at the Civic Centre, the carnival is here through to Sunday.

A number of local businesses and organizations have stepped up to lend a hand in bringing back the Block Party.
