Soccer the British way the focus for August summer camp

The Soccer mad youth of Prince Rupert have yet another summer camp coming up, this one hosted by Challenger sports as they bring their popular British Soccer Camp back to Prince Rupert.

Set to run towards the end of the summer, the one week camp takes place from August 21 to 25 and will feature classes for Boys and Girls ages 3 to 16, with activity centred at Patullo Field at the Civic Centre.

Registration is available on line here and there are camps for a range of options for parents to consider:

First Kicks  Ages 3 and 4 -- 96 dollars  (11 AM to Noon)
Min Soccer Ages 4 to 5 -- 107 dollars (9 to 10:30 AM)
Half Day Camp Ages 6 to 16 -- 144 dollars ( 9 AM to Noon)
Half Day Camp Ages 6 to 16 -- 144 dollars ( 1 PM to 4 PM)
Full Day Camp Ages 7 to 16  -- 204 dollars (9 AM to 4 PM)

Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp provides for a variety of foot skill development, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, as well as small-sided games and coached scrimmages.

A World Cup theme is used each day as camp participants compete for their adopted country and encouraged to learn about different customs and cultures as well as the universal soccer values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

Those attending the camp will receive a free ball and t shirt.
