Budding scientists and interested science students will be taking their creations to the judges panel in the next few weeks as Northwest Science and Innovation prepares for three Northwest Science fairs over the next three weeks.
Prince Rupert's Science Fair is scheduled for February 22nd at Charles Hays Secondary School, where a full day of scientific exposition will take place from 8:30 AM to 2 :30 PM.
Successful candidates will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for their work, as well as the opportunity to advance to the Pacific Northwest Science Fair.

This years Northwest Science Fair competitions are sponsored by a group of businesses and services across the Northwest.
Included in the community minded list are CFNR, BG Group, Spectra Energy and Terrace Community Forests at the Platinum Level.
With Hatch and Xerox at the Gold Sponsorship level and UNBC, Prince Rupert Port Authority, McElhanney and Andritz Automation at the Silver level.
Woodmere Nursery is the Bronze Sponsor for the competition.
Pacific Northwest LNG has signed on as the Lunch sponsor.
The Northwest Science Fair is also presented by 16/37 Community Futures and Kemp, Harvey, Demers, the Coast Mountain School District, Prince Rupert School District and Veritas School.
Other Science Fairs in the Northwest are scheduled for Kitimat on February 15th and in Terrace on March 1st.
