Freezing Rain alert issued for North Coast Inland areas

Note: the Alert was lifted early Tuesday evening.

Anticipated weather conditions overnight for the inland areas of the North Coast have found Environment Canada issuing a Freezing Rain alert for those that may have travel plans from Smithers to Terrace.

The alert issued shortly after 4 PM today notes that ice build up due to freezing rain is expected or currently occurring, with periods of freezing rain continuing through the Terrace to Smithers region as most Pacific air mixes with sub freezing surface air.

You can review the Freezing rain alert here, while travel conditions along regional highways can be found on the Drive BC website, road updates can also be found on the Drive BCNW twitter feed.
