The first High School Basketball rankings for 2016 have been delivered and for the Charles Hays Rainmakers, the New Year starts off right where they left off, holding down seventh spot in the Vancouver Province listings.
The triple AAA listings saw limited change as a matter of fact, with only the top five squads shifting positions for the most part, with Abbotsford's Rick Hansen Hurricanes the new Top Dog in BC for this week.
Terrace's Caledonia Kermodes also held their placement from December, with the Kermodes listed at the tenth spot for the start of 2016.
As we outlined earlier this week, the Rainmakers will be back in action over the weekend when Richmond's McRoberts Secondary arrives in town for a three game series at the CHSS Gym.
Tip Off's for the weekend games are at 7:30 PM Friday Night and 1 PM and 7:30 PM on Saturday.
With some high end Lower Mainland competition on the way, success over the weekend may find success in the rankings once again when the next Province rankings are delivered.
You can review the full list of both the AAA and AAAA basketball listings here.
The Senior Boy's team is not the only Rainmaker squad in action this weekend, the Senior Girls and Junior Boys are on the road this weekend with the two teams heading to Vanderhoof and Prince George.
