It was a busy weekend of basketball for all levels of the Charles Hays Rainmaker program with the Senior Boys at home and hosting a squad from Richmond BC, with the McRoberts Strikers making the trek north for a three game series at the CHSS Gym.
The Rainmakers found their groove early in each of the three games putting together victories in all three matches, topping the Richmond squad by scores of 85 to 46, 85 to 48 and 90 to 54, results which should offer up something for consideration for the next High School rankings from the Vancouver Province.
It also provided the squad with a good warm up for this weekends top tier tournament in Vancouver. With the Senior Boys Rainmakers set to depart for the Pitt Meadows Air Show, a highly acclaimed tournament of the Lower Mainland featuring some of the top teams from the Vancouver area and Vancouver Island.
The Senior boys were not the only team in action over the weekend, with the Junior Boys placing 2nd in the Condor Classic at Prince George's Duchess Park Secondary, while the Senior Girls were also involved in action taking place in Vanderhoof.
This weekend, the Junior Boys take the spotlight at the CHSS Gym hosting the annual Coastal Clash Tournament,
The latest update from the CHSS Sports files also has the Junior Girls taking to the road this weekend.
