Rainmakers look to soar and score at Pitt Meadows Airshow

With a  high tempo workout from last weekend against Richmond's McRoberts under their belts, the Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers are in Pitt Meadows this weekend for the highly acclaimed Pitt Meadows Air Show.

The tournament hosted by the Pitt Meadows Secondary Marauders got underway earlier today, launching three days of fast paced basketball bringing and interesting mix of squads together in the spotlight of the Vancouver basketball scene.

Along with the host Marauders and the Rainmakers, the tournament includes North Delta, Prince George, Sir Charles Tupper, Mount Boucherie, Collingwood, Heritage Woods, Brentwood College, Nanaimo, South Kamloops, Port Moody and Victoria's Belmont.

Charles Hays took on Sir Charles Tupper this afternoon at 1 PM in their tournament ice breaker, scores as they become available can be found at the bottom of this post.

The Rainmakers head into this weekends tournament still holding tight to their seventh place rankings in the BC AAA Basketball listings, the latest results released yesterday through the Vancouver Province.

The weekend of play ahead for the Rainmakers however will provide a bit of a challenge for the team, who will be without the hustle of Justin McChesney, currently on the sidelines with an ankle issue this weekend.

Perhaps requiring a shift of offensive style for the squad, who will miss his height as they adjust their game to try and find a way to deliver some of the output that McChesney has provided through play this year.
