All roads lead to Gingolx for Nisga'a Nation for three days of Hobiyee

This weekend marks the annual celebration of Hobiyee for the Nass Valley and across the Northwest and beyond members of the Nisga'a Nation will be making their way to Gingolx for three days to mark the Nisga'a New Year.

The theme of the three days  in the Nass Valley this year is "Honouring our Future Generations"

The festivities get underway this evening at the Gingolx Memorial Recreation Center with a program schedule to run a bit over two hours, the highlight of the night to be the Youth Grand Opening and the Raising of the Moon featuring 4 youth members and all Chief and Matriarchs from the four communities.

Friday and Saturday see Hobiyee 2019 shift into high gear, with events through the day starting with Continental Breakfasts at 9:30 on Friday and 8:30 on Saturday

A large cross section of dancers from all of the communities will be taking part during the afternoon and evening periods for both days, with the Grand Finale to the Hobiyee coming at 9:30 on Saturday evening, with the celebration coming to an end as Gingolx presents the Moon to the 2020 hosts.
