The countdown to the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards begins with a nominee Film Festival

The North Coast's business sector is getting closer to one of their favourite social events of the year, as we head towards the March 2nd Awards Presentation at the Lester Centre.

Towards helping North Coast residents as they prepare to vote for the nominees in the twelve categories, the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce is about to host a Film Festival of short introductions for those businesses and services that hope to gain the votes of the public.

Showtime on CityWest Community Channel  10/310HD is set for tomorrow February 21st and then one week later on the 28th, episodes will air at 3 PM and 7PM each day.

As for the voting period, in a Facebook post from Tuesday, the Chamber outlined the path ahead for those looking to participate in selecting this years award winners.

Every BEA Finalist will have their own unique voting code that will be displayed on the episodes as well as shared on our social media channels. The episodes will show a telephone number to text or call to cast their votes where they will submit their chosen Finalists unique code to send in their vote for their respective award category (similar to American/Canadian Idol voting, e.g. Text 111 to 2506000000 to submit your vote for Company X). 

There is a max of 1 vote per device on each award category, and voting will be valid from February 21st starting at 3:00pm and ending on February 22nd at 11:59pm, as well as February 28th starting at 3:00pm and ending on March 1st at 11:59pm.

The Doors to the Lester Centre open at 6:15 on March 2nd, with the red carpet photos to be taken on the way into the theatre, Showtime for the 2019 BEA's is 7PM.
