A major conference and convention on global shipping and logistics is underway this week in Vancouver and among the many delegates taking in the exhibits and discussion panels are representatives of the Port of Prince Rupert.
With Port officials mixing with delegates, putting Prince Rupert's best foot forward to the world as the Port continues to seek further opportunities and customers for the city's waterfront terminal facilities.
Today marks the final day for the three day event taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, putting the wrap on a number of sessions to explore the supply chain and logistics challenges and opportunities that make for the bulk of the focus for this years event.
Port of Prince Rupert CEO and President Shaun Stevenson, spoke earlier this morning as part of conference panel to outline how the Port has approached the multi-modal supply chain process and what success and challenges that have been found from the Prince Rupert experience.

The timing of the convention and conference is of benefit to the Port of Prince Rupert, which recently outlined the strong numbers that have been delivered by Port facilities along the Prince Rupert waterfront.
In addition to the Port's notes on shipments, DP World is also highlighting the success of the Prince Rupert Fairview facility, which has contributed to the United Arab Emirates based global shipping giants increased volumes.
