Rainmakers sport 2 and 1 record heading into Day 3 of BC High School Basketball Championships

The Charles Hays Rainmakers bounced back from a game one loss against J. L, Jackson on Saturday to put together a nice run at the British Columbia High School Basketball Provincials in Langley, though the first loss 63 to 31 to the Salmon Arm team was a costly one, eliminating the Rainmakers from a shot at the provincial banner for 2019.

Still, the tournament moves on and as it does the Rainmakers have been a fairly impressive squad to watch with a 62 to 36 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas later in the afternoon on Saturday and 57 to 48 win on Sunday over Sa-Hali from Kamloops making for their three games to this point.

Today the Charles Hays Juniors will play Magee at 3:30 as they continue their journey along the B Side of the tournament.

Former CHSS Teacher Brian Cameron was on hand for some of the weekend action and forwarded some snapshots of the action at the Langley Events Centre.
