Showcase finales mark the schedule for Final Day of ANBT60

It's Championship Saturday for the All Native Basketball Tournament, as the week long tournament comes to an end with four highly anticipated match ups set to bring more memories from an already tournament of big moments, many of them delivered in just the last twenty four hours.

The Women's Division started the parade towards the Trophy Case today as Kitamaat and Similkameen tipped off at 1 PM. The two teams proved to be the favourites to make their way to the finals, with the Haisla team looking to keep their hold on the title from last season.

A 2:30 start will bring the Master's side of the tournament to an end, as Lax Kw'alaams and Hydaburg take to the Russel Gamble Gymnasium floor. the Hydaburg team making their way to the final with back to back wins on Friday as they look to defend their title defence of last year.

Youth and all its energy will be the focus for the 6PM game, as the Intermediate champion is determined. The tourney finds the home town Prince Rupert Bad Boys taking on Skidegate, with the Bad Boys making a late week run to the final game including a thrilling OT victory on Friday evening over Hazelton.

For the Senior Mens Division, Kitktakla has been the story so far, with some blow out wins in early action followed up by a highly entertaining showdown with Skiedage on Friday afternoon that came with a nail biting 83 to 81 Overtime victory that propelled the Kitkatla squad to the Finals.

Vancouver dashed the dreams of Skidegate for another shot at Kitkatla this morning in a Double Overtime showpiece, with the Big City team set to take on the defending champions at 7:30 to bring the 2019 tournament to an end.

Those who can't snare a ticket to the finals can keep up to speed on how the games are playing out through CFNR.

A reminder for those attending the tournament tonight, the parking lot of the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre will be a place where parking is at a premium, with the Prince Rupert Ramapge hosting a CIHL playoff game at the same time as the Seniors Final gets underway.
