Prince Rupert and area residents rallied in support of Salvation Army

While the times may be challenging for many on the North Coast, the Prince Rupert Salvation Army has once again hailed the community mindedness of area residents, with the end of 2020 brining success for the annual Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign.

There is no final tally available as of yet, but in a Social Media message posted this weekend, the local organization noted that their goals for the 2020 Kettle campaigners were met and they were very gratified to see the community respond to their mid December call for help.

With the busy days of the Christmas campaign now I the past, the push towards fundraising for the Salvation Army's plans for their Grenville Court facility continue on, with the local organization looking to raise 95,000 dollars towards renovations to bring their food distribution program under the same roof as the rest of their programs.

Residents can follow the fundraising program from the front wall of City Hall, where the fundraising thermometer continues to inch its way upwards as North Coast Residents get behind that campaign.
