Residents of Port Edward are reflecting some of the optimism coming from the District these days, with a new initiative recently announced that is looking to bring community members together
Some recent postings to Social Media have announced the formation of the Port Edward Neighbourhood Society, a non-profit group in the District that is looking to bring people together to strengthen and add to the community.
Their focus will be to put in place projects, events, programs and activities for those living in the District with a first project identified as the creation of a Community Garden.
The inspiration behind the initiative comes form Leah Anderson, Sheri Pringle and Tatyana Walters who make up the Directors of the newly formed Society, with the Board announced in late January.
