With Terrace River Kings on the way to town, Prince Rupert Rampage look to bounce back following last weeks double tap loss at the Jim

Game Night Saturday for the Prince Rupert Rampage, with
the Terrace River Kings in town for the final regular season home game

The Prince Rupert Rampage will be looking towards a few themes tomorrow night, that as they prepare for their final regular season home game against the Terrace River Kings at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

On the list, bounce back from a pair of home losses last weekend when the two Cariboo teams passed through town to collect four points on the two nights of hockey and the other, send a message to the River Kings that the post season results may not mirror those of the regular.

The last time the two teams met was in mid January with the Rampage in the midst of an extensive period of road games, their stop in Terrace making for one of the most entertaining of match ups of the year to date with both teams battling it out to a Double Overtime Tie.

The game for some serving at the time as perhaps a preview of the league final as the playoffs get underway later this month.

However, with a shortened bench owing to injury, the two losses to Williams Lake and Quesnel last weekend could mean that the winds may be shifting when it comes to potential final dance partners for the final series for 2022.

Also of note is the tumble the Rampage took in the standings with those losses, dropping from second place to third, with the Stamps coming up fast to try to gallop past the Rhinos in the homestretch of the regular season.

Another area of interest for fans tomorrow night will be the scoring output from the Homeside and who's marked with the goals and assists in the boxscore at games end, heading into the Rampage final home game Hunter Johnson is leading the league in scoring by just a single point at 23 points on the season.

Judd Repole, a former CIHL scoring champion is still in the hunt as well with 19 points, but having missed some play due to injury that window may have closed for the 2021-22 season and scoring crown run.

On the other bench, Terrace has still to have gone the season without suffering a loss, with 11 games played and 10 win, 1 tie record, they will be coming into to town with a bit of swagger as the league's top dog and will bring a strong push tot their play to keep a Zero in the loss category.

In a note from around the league, the Williams Lake Stampeders may have picked up more than just some points from their trip to the Northwest, with the Williams Lake Tribune noting of the cancellation of their game this weekend owing to a COVID situation.
