British Columbia does the time shift again Sunday morning

The annual discussion on the merits of changing the clocks in the fall has been put aside for another, year, that as Premier John Horgan once again weighed into the debate

The Premier who once floated the idea of doing away with the time change, has seemingly had some second thoughts for the moment and has no plans to reintroduce the proposition any time soon.

Perhaps at sometime he'll consider a referendum on the issue, though if our current history is an indication, British Columbians may be just as split on time allocation as any other issue.

The official word from the head time keeper for the province hasn't deterred the efforts of some of the aggrieved populace, many of whom have taken to a Facebook page to call for a Stop to the Time Change.

Those efforts will have to remain on file for another 365 days or so, as come 2 AM on Sunday morning, we all fall back an hour, reclaiming the lost hour of sleep from the Spring and hopefully using our additional hour of daylight in the weeks to come to its fullest benefit.

That ritual is in effect for much of BC, with the exception of the Peace country, where residents go Time Change, What Time Change?

The residents of the Peace still throwing in with their agricultural history remain on Mountain Standard time all year round.

You can circle March 10th of 2019 on the calendar for your next clock maintenance project, that is when we all "spring forward" and welcome in the warmer and brighter days ahead.

Some notes on the annual ritual can be explored as we prepare to wind back the clock, or hope that our electronic devices do much of the heavy lifting for us.
