New online gateway to Coast Mountain College launched

The re-branding of Coast Mountain College continues its forward momentum, with the college that serves Northwestern British Columbia launching its new online presence this week, delivering improved access to information and education planning for current and future students.

Coast Mountain College was introduced to the Northwest in June of this year, following a lengthy process from the early days of consultation and list shortening on a proposed new name for Northwest Community College.

With the new name in place, the development of the  new portal took close to five months to develop and fine tune prior to its launch this week.

The home page has links to Programs and Courses, Admissions, Items of note for International students, Registration and Records, Student Services, Indigenous Resources and a segment which offers more background about Coast Mountain College.

The new guide to education at the college also features a new video which provides a fast paced tour of both the campus experience and what the region has to offer students that are ready to move on to their post secondary studies.

The introduction page also features links to all five campus locations for the college, with the Prince Rupert campus link available here. The Prince Rupert page features a campus overview, What's New section and a link to course schedules.

It also provides features with a thumbnail sketch of a trio of options available at the Prince Rupert campus, with a review of the Innovation Lab, Gitga'at Territory Seaweed Camp and the Permaculture Design program which provides instruction in sustainable community design.

You can begin to explore what the new Coast Mountain College site has to offer here.
