Approaching storm makes for Revised BC Ferries Schedule; with Northern Expedition sailing delayed until Monday morning

All of the British Columbia Coast is under Storm and
Wind Warnings heading towards Monday

With Wind Warnings being put in place across all of Vancouver Island and Haida Gwaii and strong winds anticipated over the next 24 hours, BC Ferries has revised the sailing schedule for the Northern Expedition.

Sunday, the Ferry Service pushed back the departure time for the crossing from Prince Rupert to Skidegate to Monday morning at 10 AM, with the return crossing to Prince Rupert set for 10 PM.

The sailing of the Northern Expedition has been delayed until
Monday morning at the earlier as Storm warnings go into effect

The revised schedule is subject to change depending on the status of the weather tomorrow morning.

That weather will be particularly nasty through the evening and into Monday morning with warnings in place up and down the coast of British Columbia.

As well, the Marine Weather forecast indicates that a Storm Warning is now in effect.

Winds will reach up to 60 knots by early evening, diminishing to 35 knots by early morning.
