Heading into Year 54, Prince Rupert Rotary Auction still going strong

2017 edition of the Rotary Auction. Monday night they and a number of
other Auctioneers will take to the Lester Centre Stage as part of Year 54
for the long time fixture on the Prince Rupert Calendar.

The First gavel knock will be heard shortly after 6 PM on Monday evening, as Prince Rupert's Rotarians launch another three nights of bargain hunting and community spirit live from the Lester Centre of the Arts.

The event which is broadcast through CityWest Community Television Channel 10/310 HD and streaming live through the Rotary website is one of the North Coast's most anticipated events of the fall.

The three nights offering up a chance to give back to your community, take in some of the engaging personalities that take to the stage, as well as to collect a countless number of Christmas gifts for the upcoming gift giving season.

This years auction features over 625 items worth more than 75,000 dollars, the products and services donated by community minded businesses and residents across the region.

For those who find success on their bids, there is also the chance of winning a 1,000 dollar travel voucher, with all winning bids put into the draw on the final night of the Auction.


Returning once again for the 54th edition of the Auction is the popular 750 Ticket fundraiser, which offers a top prize of $1,500.

You can get a preview of the items up for bid through Prince Rupert Rotary Auction Website, with the listings of the items that will be open for bidding available online here.

 A search engine available on the left hand side of the Rotary page allows the user to explore the options with a number of options.

Those who receive the Northern View at their home address can also review the insert to this weeks edition, which lists the items up for bid starting Monday evening.

Pre biding for the items has been underway since Monday evening.

First time buyers for the Auction can register for this years event here.

Once the Rotary Auction is underway you can also call in your bids at 250-627-8666.

An empty stage today, but come Monday night the Lester Centre
will be the centre of activity as the 2018 Rotary Auction gets underway

The Auction goes live Monday evening from the stage of the Lester Centre, broadcast times for the three night run are as follows:

Monday, November 19  -- 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Tuesday, November 20 --  6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Wednesday, November 21 -- 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM

CityWest community television will broadcast each night through Channel 10 and 310HD, those who are not subscribers to the CityWest service can view the Auction through the live stream.

Last years auction brought in just over 50,000 dollars to be put towards programs and services in the Prince Rupert area.
