Inland travellers to face Snowfall Warnings as they head through the Bulkley Valley and on to the east

Those with travel plans inland today will want to check in with Drive BC from time to time, to track the progress of a weather system that is set to bring heavy rain to the Central Coast and Snow for the Bulkley Valley region today.

The Bella Coola region will see up to 60 mm of rain through the day, while the colder air to the north near Smithers will turn that precipitation into snow, with up 15 cm anticipated before the system moves out of the region.

The Snowfall warnings have been put into effect for an area stretching from Smithers and beyond Burns Lake to the east.

The latest forecast for the Smithers region can be reviewed here.

Updates on Road conditions along the Highway 16 corridor and its feeder routes can be reviewed from the Drive BC website or twitter feed.
