District of Port Edward and partners tackle Diana Lake Clean Up

Clean up time for Diana Lake as the District of Port Edward
and some area stakeholders take to the annual removal of debris

The District Of Port Edward is in the midst of taking on one of the items on their to do list for the off season for Diana Lake, with the popular recreation area on the North Coast currently in the midst of a Clean Up program.

In a post to the District's Facebook page on Wednesday, the District observed how the clean up of Diana Lake recreation site is well underway.

Noting how even though the park is closed for the season, it is great to see improvement so that is is ready for public use and beach access this coming spring.

The work at the popular site has been funded by Ridley Terminals Inc. with project management by BC Parks and support from the District's neighbours at the City of Prince Rupert as well.

The District has seen a number of improvements take place at Diana Lake over the last few years that add to the recreation opportunities for residents of the North Coast.
