Salvation Army puts out call for Volunteers as Kettle Campaign moves through December

The demand for services continues to rise in Prince Rupert and for the Salvation Army one of the key resources to help to meet that need is their annual Kettle Fundraising program over the holidays.

The campaign will move into high gear next week and to help keep the kettle location at the BC Liquor Store staffed the call has been issued for volunteers, with 25 shifts to fill between December 10 and 24.

The Salvation Army hopes to have volunteers in place from December 10 to 12 and again from December 14 to 24

If you can help out by taking a shift you can contact the Roma Dawe Green on Facebook or call the Salvation Army at 250-624-6180 extension 3.

It should be noted that all money collected from the Prince Rupert Kettle campaign stays in the community, helping to fund the annual hamper program and other projects that the organization has in place to help those in need in Prince Rupert.

Earlier this month, we outlined some of the ways that the Salvation Army is looking to when it comes to fundraising in these challenging times of COVID
