With a departure announced from the Board, The Port Edward Historical Society is searching for one new board member to help shape the future for the North Pacific Cannery Historical Site, the opportunity to join the Board announced through the Historical Site's Facebook page last week.
In their advisory, the Society paid tribute to the work of Frances Riley who has been part of their work for a number of years now.
A BIG thank you to outgoing board member Frances Riley for her dedication and contributions to the Society and NPC over the years. We wish you all the best in your new business endeavors and look forward to visiting your new location on 3rd Avenue very soon!
When it comes to next welcoming guests at the Port Edward showcase, the North Pacific Historical Site will remain closed for this tourism season, though the location will still be a hive of activity with a number of renovation projects on the to do list in anticipation of a full reopening to the public in 2022.
