June 4th deadline for nominees for Prince Rupert's 75/50 Club

The City of Prince Rupert is preparing to pay tribute to the Seniors and Elders who have made their mark in the community over the last fifty years and have reached the age of 75, with nominations for membership in the 75/50 Club now being accepted.

The new inductees qualify for the 2021 honours if they are at least 75 years of age and have lived in Prince Rupert for 50 years or more.

To submit the name of someone who meets the criteria, contact Executive Assistant Brianne Bunko at Prince Rupert City Hall  brianne.bunko@princerupert.ca or contact her at 250-627-0939 for more details.

Name, address and contact information must be delivered by June 4th for consideration in this years award.

The Awards are normally delivered as part of a Civic Celebration during Seafest week, but this year as it was last , owing to COVID the City has had to find a work around the public gathering plans.

Plaques in celebration of the newest members will be mailed to recipients over the summer.

Last week we outlined the background to the call for nominations for the Civic Recognition Awards program for 2021, you can explore those notes here.
