The City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department is getting ready for its summer camp program with a pair of job opportunities for summer employment |
An indication that we may be making our way back to more normal times in the city can be found this week from the City of Prince Rupert Careers Opportunity page, where two positions for Summer Camp operations at the Recreation Centre have been posted.
The summer programs, ones which may provide for some adventure, fun and a welcome return to a more normal summer routine for many coming out of our now fourteen month times of COVID.
The two positions are for a Summer Camp Leader and a summer camp coordinator.
The Summer Camp Leader position is described as follows:
This position is seasonal, for the period of July – August. Reporting directly to the Recreation Coordinator, the Summer Camp Leader will help plan, lead, and monitor age-appropriate group activities (arts and crafts, games, day trips, etc.) to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for children participating in camp. This position is funded by the 2021 Canada Summer Jobs program.The Summer Camp Coordinator position is outlined below:
This position is seasonal, for the period of June – August. Reporting directly to the Recreation Coordinator, the Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for providing direct leadership, supervision, and instruction to the Camp Leaders and participants. The Camp Coordinator plans, promotes, and implements age-appropriate activities (arts and crafts, games, day trips, etc.) to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for all children participating in camp. This position is funded by the 2021 Canada Summer Jobs program.
The deadline for applications is noted as May 30th.
