Prince Rupert Planting Party goes this weekend

One of Prince Rupert's top attractions will get some
attention this weekend from the Prince Rupert Garden Club

Prince Rupert's Sunken Gardens is next up on the list for the Prince Rupert Garden Club, with the members issuing a call out to the community to join them this Saturday and Sunday in the urban oasis that is found behind the Prince Rupert Court House.

No Experience is necessary as the Club puts in the garden beds for another season, though if you have your own tools and kneeling pads you are asked to bring them along with you.

The Club will be following COVID protocols to ensure for safety of all taking part.

The planting party starts at 10 AM each day

This weekend's work follows on the footsteps and raking of a successful Long Weekend excursion to Acropolis Manor where Club members helped bring some new greenery and colourful projects to the Long Term Care facility in the city.

Earlier this month in a note for home gardeners/landscape artists to explore, the Garden Club provided this tribute to the dandelion, a compilation of notes that may give you a whole new perspective of the bright objects appearing on your lawn, as well as a reason not to pull out the lawn mower just yet ...

You can learn more about their work from their Facebook page here.
