The City of Prince Rupert has noted that Unspecified mechanical issues have brought the cancellation of all Ice programs in the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

With the City's recreation department making note of the situation this morning through their Social Media stream.

There was no indication from today's notice as to how long it's anticipated that the mechanical issues may impact on the return of the programs.

The suspension of programs will impact on the local Minor Hockey and Skating programs at the recreation facility and if unresolved by Friday, would make for a decision by the CIHL as to how to proceed with Game One of the Prince Rupert/Terrace River Kings Semi final playoff series which is set to have its start at the Arena in Prince Rupert.

The City's Recreation department is promising that updates will be provided as the situation evolves, you can access those through their Facebook page.
