Season for Flu and COVID-19 shot top-ups has arrived

Residents of the North Coast have two options for accessing their COVID-19 boosters or the seasonal flu shot this year, with local pharmacies and Northern Health hosting vaccination opportunities.

The pharmacies feature both a registration program online, or if supplies allow on the day it seems, a walk in opportunity for those looking to be vaccinated.

You can drop in at any of those serving the Prince Rupert to learn more about how they are approaching the vaccination program for the fall of 2022

Northern Health, has been hosting a COVID-19 clinic this week, with registration required online, though as those seeking their COVID shot arrived, they were being offered an opportunity to access the Flu vaccine as well.

The Health Authority will continue with the program next week as well, with dates set for four more day.

October 24 and 25 as well as on October 27 and 28.

The Northern Health Clinics are taking place in the Ocean Centre, the  clinic located in the space between the Fresh Onion and Pacific Coast School.

Residents are however encouraged to make use of the GetVaccinated Program at getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca or by calling 1-833-838-2323

There have been some issues reported however by residents trying to access the registration program, some of which have made for some discussion on the Northern Health Facebook page for Prince Rupert.

More on the Provincial vaccination program can be explored here.
