Alaska Marine Highway System launches online engagement for communities the Marine service serves in Alaska, as well as Prince Rupert

The Alaska Marine Highway Systemhas launched a new community
engagement program which includes opportunity for
Prince Rupert officials and residents to participate in

The Alaska Marine Highway System is expanding on how it communicates with those communities that their vessels serve, introducing some new community engagement called Charting the Course towards Thriving Communities.

It's a project that BC Ferries officials may want to look at towards keeping in touch with the communities that they serve, as the AMHS version offers much in the way of two way communication towards goals and ambitions for the service and the stops they serve on their many routes.

Included on their list of Communities where the Course is being charted is Prince Rupert, with a page from the Prince Rupert Area Playbook explaining how that engagement will work.

The items of note for the Prince Rupert area included the latest updates on AMHS scheduling.

As well, the online portal includes has a section where community leaders could contact the Marine Service provider to highlight local events and festivals of note for those travelling through Prince Rupert to and from Alaska.

That engagement element something that may be of interest for the City of Prince Rupert and Tourism Prince Rupert to take advantage of, offering as it does an opportunity to build relationships with our neighbours to the North.

You can explore more on the Reimagining AMHS program from the Charting the Course home page.
