Back in Business on Hays Cove

After many months behind safety fencing and an extensive remediation
period, the Hays Cove Petro Canada station has reopened

After months of closure, the Hays Cove Metro Canada has turned the lights and pumps back on, resuming its operations this week following some extensive remediation work on the site on Hays Cove Circle.

Much of the work appears to have been related to the fuel storage tanks on the site, which saw the service station fenced off during the work period.

The reopening of the station makes for a little less travel for those living on the city's east side in need of a fill up, serving as the midway point to the centre of the city from the east.

However, if motorists were hoping for a We're Back! Sale price on gasoline, disappointment will be yours, the price point for this Friday morning is 1.99 per litre, which marks the price at Chevron downtown.

The 7-11 on Second West and the Petro-Canada in the Industrial park continues to be the Lowest price fill up for residents of the week at 1.89 per litre.

More notes on the city's commercial sector see our archive page here.
