Rampage look to claim two from the road this weekend

Some long distance travel is on the horizon for the Prince Rupert Rampage
with stops this weekend in Vanderhoof and Smithers 

The Prince Rupert Rampage  take their undefeated record on the road this weekend, with a long haul CIHL double header on their travel agenda.

The Rampage who started the 2022-23 season with victories over Hazelton and Kitimat, put some mileage on the bus with a Saturday game in Vanderhoof against the Nechako North Starts and a Sunday matchup in Smithers with the Steelheads.

The Prince Rupert side take a pretty productive offence into play this weekend, with 12 goals and 13 assists on the scoresheets to date, that while the defensive play has held their competitors to just 2 goals over the first two weeks of the season.

The Northstar's have been on the other side of the win loss column so far, with two loses, the team scoring 8 goals while surrounding 10 to date.

Puck drop Saturday in Vanderhoof is 7:30.

From their trip into the Nechako region, the Rampage will backtrack on Sunday, a stop in Smithers and a Noon hour start at the Pond making for their second game of the twin bill.

That could be the biggest test yet of the young season for Prince Rupert, the Steelheads boast of a 2-0 record, with 10 goals on the offensive side, while holding the competition to 8 from the defensive side of play.

The Rhinos will be hoping the hot hands of Hunter Johnson and Judd Repole continue to bring home the points, the two Rampage players are among a bunch currently jostling for spots among the CIHL Scoring List.

Fans of the hometown Rampage won't have long to wait for a chance to see them back on the ice at the Jim.

The Rampage and Northstars will renew acquaintances in Prince Rupert on October 29th, with a 7 PM puck drop at Civic Centre Arena.
