Prince Rupert's Moose Hall was the venue on Monday for a popular Prince Rupert Lions Club community event, as the Lions, assisted by members of the Charles Hays Junior Boys Rainmakers Basketball team served up a Thanksgiving Day meal for the community's seniors.

The well attended event had a good attendance, with the Basketball players taking on the role of servers for the event, with food provided by Number 1 Fast Foods.

The Lions also were thankful for the Moose Hall who provided the dining room for the day for all to share in the Bounty of a Prince Rupert Thanksgiving. The meal and social event offering a chance to explore some of the renovations to the downtown social hall.

The meal which was free for area Seniors, marked the return for the popular annual event which had been on the sidelines for the last two years owing to COVID.

Organizers had some concerns that the last two years of stay at home activities might have kept numbers low for the return, but the snapshots of the event would seem to suggest that Prince Rupert Senior's were more than willing to take a day out for some Turkey and socializing.

You can catch up on how the event went and take in some phots from the Lions Club Facebook page.
