New Democrats set to gather Friday in Prince Rupert for NDP fundraiser featuring Federal leader Jagmeet Singh

Friday night is Fundraising night in Prince Rupert as NDP members prepare for an evening of politic, food and music with Federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.

The Friday event at the Highliner Plaza Hotel, is the make up date for a previously planned fundraiser that was scuttled owing to COVID.

The night which starts at 7:30 PM will be hosted by Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach, with some musical entertainment for the night provided by Elijah Quinn.

Dinner is part of the evening, along with the opportunity to raise items of local  concern with the two NDP politicians.

Mr. Singh will also be heading over to Haida Gwaii as part of his tour of the Northwest, with a meeting planned for Daajing Giids on Sunday at 10:30 AM

      The motion for "immediate financial relief" was a head in the sands proposal by the CPC to cut taxes and increase government debt.

    2. You are right, BCCATC announced a one time top up to their existing quarterly payments.
      Individuals and families who navigate their way through this government administered program are rewarded with just over a dollar a day back in their pockets.
      If that is your definition of relief, British Columbians are in trouble.
