Annunciation School looking to fill teaching positions for September

Last month we noted the list of teaching spots that SD52 is looking to fill for the upcoming school year starting in September, however the public system is not the only one on a quest for staff for the year ahead.

As we've outlined in the past, the search for teaching staff for schools in many parts of the province has become a challenge for school administrators, with the recent increase in funding for education in the province, this coming summer is expected to be one of a fair bit of movement as the larger centres seek to attract staff from across BC and Canada.

Much like the public system, Annunciation, the city's Independent school is currently seeking staff with three teaching positions and one support position currently available, some background on the the positions can be reviewed below:

Continuing .50 FTE Band/Music teacher

Limited duration .40 FTE Primary Teacher

Continuing 1.0 FTE Primary teacher

Level 2 Education assistant

In addition to the call for resumes and other end of the school year activities through the month, Annunciation is celebrating 100 years of Catholic Education with a June 24th reception at the Cargo Kitchen and Bar.

Music on the evening is to be provided by the popular Prince Rupert duo of Francis and Sarah

The event open to alumni and friends will take place from 4 to 7 PM, with tickets available for fifteen dollars at both Annunciation Church and Annunciation School Offices.

Annunciation Church will also be holding a celebration mass to bring the final month of the school's centennial year to a close, the mass takes place Sunday June 25th.

More notes on Annunciation can be found on the school's website.
