Engineering Department looks for equipment operator for full time position

The City of Prince Rupert is having an active recruiting
season this September, with a number of job positions
recently posted at City Hall

The City of Prince Rupert's Engineering Department is joining in on what is a mini jobs surge with the city, posting a job opportunity for a heavy equipment operator to the city website last week.

The position is classified as Equipment Operator II, and requires a Heavy Equipment Operator Approved Certificate, among some of the notes on the job opportunity are: The Operator must be aware of the excavation techniques, hazards and job site traffic flows in order to minimize the risk of injury and property/equipment damage. The employee must be able to read and utilize blueprints along with completing all necessary job site communication and paperwork.

The deadline for the union position is September 20th, starting rate of pay for the position is $35.09 per hour.
