CFTK TV heads back to the hiring board for its Prince Rupert News position

CFTK TV is looking for a new reporter for its Prince Rupert
office, following the departure of Helena Skrinjar

Prince Rupert's time as part of the CFTK TV news flow appears to be back to limited coverage, with the departure from the North Coast of Helena Skrinjar, who has decided to pursue other options away from the Prince Rupert area.

The latest of TV7 reporters arrived on the North Coast in late July, taking over the TK newsbeat from Corey Callaghan who spent just over a year covering the Prince Rupert area for CFTK before making his own exit, taking up duties in Winnipeg.

Ms. Skrinjar's last report filed for the Terrace based TV station was this report on the city's ongoing challenges of pot holes around the city.

Bell Media posted the Prince Rupert position to its careers website on August 28th and to this point there does not appear to have been any hiring announcement from the Terrace office.

The absence of a local reporter for CFTK heading into the fall comes at an important period for the community, with the 2018 Municipal election period about to get underway and the Legislature set to resume its work in Victoria later this fall.
