Long time Prince Rupert business set to join up with major Canadian industrial company

“Doug’s Crane has a 29 year history of providing crane and lifting solutions to its many customers in the Prince Rupert region and we are thrilled to be partnering with Doug Mackereth and the rest of the Broadwater management team"-- NC Services Group President Ted Redmond, outlining his enthusiasm with the recent acquisition of Doug's Crane by the Edmonton based company.

After 29 years, Doug's Crane is about to join the ranks of one of Canada's largest industrial rental companies.

Thursday, the acquisition of Doug's Crane by Edmonton based N C Services Group was announced, a move which will see the company founded by Doug Mackereth Sr shift from Broadwater Industries to the Edmonton company.

As part of the transaction Doug Mackereth and the three other owners of Broadwater will take an equity interest with NCSG.

The national company is one of the 10 largest Crane and Heavy Haul companies in North America and is now well positioned in the Northwest, ready to take advantage of the many proposed development projects that have been mentioned in the region in recent years.

Towards that prospect, NCSG President Ted Redmond said he was looking forward to the partnership ahead with Broadwater and for the future that the North Coast and Northwest has to offer.

You can learn more about the transaction from the media release issued on Thursday.

Some background on the company can be found from their corporate website.
