Blog Watching, Week ending November 24, 2013

This week, by election results, BC Ferry route reductions, a new place to eat, the weather and an environmental protest all made their pitch for the top five items of the week.

The top item of the week:

The Sixth Chair of the Council Chamber belongs to... Barry Cunningham,    Our coverage of the by-election results of last Saturday proved the most popular item of the week, as Rupertites were quite interested in the election results and what it may mean for City council.  (posted November 16)

North Coast route reductions among BC Ferries Cuts announced today, the news of planned route reductions for BC Ferries, announced on November 18th also was a popular item for the blog, with readers seeking out more background on the impact that the announcement may have on the region (posted November 18)

Sushi fans have a new option in town,  The opening of the latest restaurant in the city proved to be a popular item attracting a number of viewers this week  (first posted November 19)

Accumulations through the day, before the rains was it all away, The first blast of winter arrived on the North Coast this week, with our article on the pending arrival and the weather systems to follow finding some interest (posted November 19)

Enthusiastic group deliver their message to the Port on the prospect of oil tankers on North Coast,   Our  review of last weekends protest at the Prince Rupert Port Authority offices wraps up this weeks top five posts, as readers sought out some background on the protest (posted November 18, 2013)
