Snowfall Warning issued for Inland areas of the North Coast

Update:Warning was lifted Sunday evening

The cold temperatures and a stubborn area of Low Pressure around Prince Rupert, will combine to bring what Environment Canada calls significant snowfall to regions inland of the North Coast this evening.

The Weather Warning for Terrace, Kitimat and Stewart was issued at 4:37 this afternoon and advises that Terrace could see an additional 4 centimetres of snow from what they have already received, before the system passes through.

Prince Rupert is not expected to receive any significant accumulation as the front moves into the Central Interior.

Updates on the Weather can be found on the Environment Canada website

As the weather system makes its transit, driving conditions along Highway 16 could prove to be challenging.

Drive BC will provide updates as to the conditions as they are required, you can access their updates from their website or twitter feed.
