4.8 temblor rumbles West of Port Hardy
The latest rattle along the Queen Charlotte fault lines took place in the early hours of Friday morning, as a 4.8 magnitude temblor struck at 3:45 AM.
The quake was recorded 165 kilometres West South West of Port Hardy, due south of the southern tip of Haida Gwaii.
It struck in much the same area as a number of previous temblors in the region over the last few months.
No Tsunami warning was generated from this mornings event, nor as of yet has there been any reports of damage, or even if the early morning shift was noticed on any Vancouver Island communities.
