Exxon/Mobil Join up with the BC LNG Alliance

Exxon/Mobil the international energy giant has announced that its affiliate ExxonMobil LNG Market Development Incorporated, will be joining the recently created BC LNG Alliance.

That organization provides for a collection of some of the largest of potential investors in the still to be developed North Coast LNG industry.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through a media release from the BC LNG Alliance.

ExxonMobil is the LNG proponent looking to develop an LNG terminal project on Tuck Inlet, something that was mentioned as part of Wednesday's announcement.

ExxonMobil has been granted an export license for up to 30 million tonnes of LNG per annum and the project has entered into an option agreement with the City of Prince Rupert for a site at Tuck Inlet.

The BC LNG Alliance was formed in the Spring of this year featuring the following list of members:

Kitimat LNG
LNG Canada
Pacific NorthWest LNG
Prince Rupert LNG
Triton LNG
Woodfibre LNG

And now, we add ExxonMobil to the list marking the seventh member of what appears to be a growing alliance.

You can review more regarding the main focus of the BC LNG Alliance here.
